I went to a Play as Your Pet Party today. So silly and fun. :)

I had no idea (or forgot) that pets have their own sitting, dancing, sleeping, and playing animations!

I also had the most AMAZING interaction!

That was so sweet of them. :) I'm not sure what age uses slay, but I feel like they're an older Jammer. So sweet to meet people like that who are just being nice and friendly.

Pumpkin Fox + Wholesome Advice

So I was looking around Jamaa... What is THIS?!?

There's so much that's new... Yet. After looking around. It's mostly the same.

It just feels the same. Everyone's chilling, trading, and playing. The biggest thing is that there's way less people now that Flash has ended. Makes sense. I'm really glad it's still around. :) But yeah, you can definitely see the deficit in players.

WAIT! DID THEY ADD PONIES? I want to try and cover everything new at some point. Maybe I'll get a membership for fun.

As for my main account q1zx, I'm still hopeful, but there's a chance I may not be able to get my account back. I have sent them so much information, but my parents change their credit card #s frequently, so I might be missing information that AJ needs. It's kind of silly though. I have so much information about the account, but they really need a lot. I'm not worried yet about it, but we'll keep an eye on it.

Man, this place is mostly the same. I remember so much. The art is just all the same.

Apparently, according to AJ Worth, glossy pink cupid wings are now worth 3 Black Longs. Right before I stopped playing back in 2018, I traded them for the 1st B-Day cake so I could have them all.

The B-Day cakes have not seem to gone up in value, lol. Part of me still wants to be a rich jammer, but my most memorable AJ moments were all ones that didn't involve rares. I still have like 400 diamonds from the bug back in 2018, so maybe I'll try and go for a Black Long so I can finally get the closure I wanted after all these years. XD

YOOOOO WHO REMEMBERS THESE THINGS?!? These were so fun back in the day. Awww... Kimbara Outback is playing right now. The music in this game, man. I added Winter Dance to my main playlist, maybe I'll add some more songs. These are bangers.

It is interesting seeing all the new items. That's probably the biggest difference.

Hopefully future posts aren't as long as this. I mean, long isn't necessarily bad... More content is fun. But it's nice to not have an overwhelming post. If I do have a long post, I want to it to be focused on something, rather than random.

Happy Friday, Jammers!

Today's new item is the Autumn Centerpiece. Ooooo.

You know, Blogger hasn't changed at ALL. It's the EXACT same as it was back in 2013. That's amazinggg, haha.

So yeah. Here I am on my alt. Due to the data leak, whenever that was, my main account got its password reset. I'm currently working with support on getting it back.

The big reason I want it back is because I have like 400+ diamonds or whatever on that account from 2018, when you could get infinite diamonds by refreshing the page. That was a crazy day. But it looks like there's shops now in Jamaa, and you can pay diamonds. 0.0 I COULD BUY A RED LONG YOOOOO.

So even though Blogger hasn't changed much, Animal Jam has changed. And I'm absolutely thrilled. It's still being updated. That's so cool. I remember part of the struggles of blogging back in 2018 was the idea that nothing new was planned for the future. They still have things. :)

That's not to say everything is the same. If you go to Coral Canyons on the Aldan server, it's pretty quiet. It used to be one of the biggest trading hubs.

MANNNNN the music brings me back. Just wow.

Okay. So let's go through the elephant in the room. Why am I making an Animal Jam post in 2022? I really just want to make a normal AJ post, but we're unfortunately going to have to the long way. I'm going to try and be brief, but... Idk, we'll see how it turns out.

Basically, I am now 20 years old. I am in college. My YouTube channel blew up. I am in an apartment. Life is just crazy now, and I honestly don't want to grow up lol.

The other day, I got reminded of my middle school blogs, and I went back through this blog and looked at things. This blog was only active for like half-a-year, but it ended super spontaneously. It went super strong from May to December, and you can still see a ton of remnants of what I wanted this blog to be. There's so many unfinished pages and sections of the blog.

The fact is that I never grew bored of blogging. I love it, and typing this now is like a walk in the park. I LOVE THIS. I really missed blogging, and doing YouTube never truly replaced it. ALTHOUGH, YouTube has become a crazy part of my life and I'm super glad I went for that.

I'm not sure if I should've tried doing YouTube and blogging at the same time, but yeah, here I am. I miss this, and I just want to play around with it for a bit. It still brings me joy. So I'm going to just play around for a bit. I still want to make sure I'm focusing on school, YT, and all the other stuff, but I want to try blogging for Animal Jam.

The big problem is that if I don't hold myself back, I will get super into Animal Jam. I never really got bored of it, to be honest. Or at least, right now, I could get super into it. I don't want to do that though, so I'm just going to try and do it on the side for my happiness.

I am going to try posting. I don't know if it will be consistent or not, but I just want to try. Maybe weekly posts could be good. But I just want to do it again.

I remember one of DoomyPanda's messages when I announced that I was leaving. It was like... Why should I stop blogging when it makes me happy? I'm still conflicted about blogging. It does bring me happiness, but if I tweak one little thing, like switching the game and doing videos, I get money and it's on a bigger scale. If I spend all my creative energy here, it's... Not efficient? I don't know. It's complicated. Basically, if I get really into AJ blogging, I might turn down other opportunities.

But here I am. I'm sorry I never made an official post when I leaving, haha. I can't say I will when I leave next, because when I do, will it really be goodbye forever?

Oooooo, deep.

But yeah, just going to play around, and see what happens.

As much as I hate to say it... Switching from Animal Jam changed my life. Rainbow000Pegasus, DoomyPanda, Violet, Lostfairy, Sarahkey8, and everyone out there - you guys are so talented. I really recommend trying something with more exposure - you can truly do great things. But if Animal Jam makes you happy, no reason to stop it I suppose.

YouTube has been great. While it never truly replaced blogging, I've met a lot of great people. I'm very happy. (most of the time - I still have sad moments of course :P)

I really cherish everyone I met along the way. This blog made me cry when I quit. It was a true honor.

My YouTube is Blowing Up

Howdy to all! Violet AJ emailed me as I kind of just left my blog without a goodbye - and yes, I did. I am here to just explain myself.

This is going to be a bit of a long post, I expect. And that's because the last two months have been CRAZY. So - let me get into what I've been doing.

Yes - I'm in high school, and I've been working on learning the violin, grades, track is starting... But I started a YouTube channel. A new one. Not my AJ one.

My AJ YouTube channel - yes, I posted for about two weeks, but I wanted to post every single day. And AJ videos take so long to make. It's very hard. And so once I ran out of pre-recorded videos, I stopped. And I was also disappointed that after posting for three weeks straight, I got no comments. NONE. (Besides one person who checked me out after I commented on someone else's channel)

Yes, I could've made videos about the new item... But ehhhhhh... So I made a new YouTube channel.

Now! This YouTube channel is about a game (likely) none of you guys know about... But I won't go into it - this post will still be understandable. But I started a new channel. I was sitting there on December 26th, 2018. My blog was ending. I was sad. And I decided that I really, really liked getting comments. I had to somehow do YouTube.

I grabbed my phone and looked around. My phone had a microphone on it. I had iMovie on my computer. Could I... Maybe make videos for a game on my phone?

I started recording for a game called Bloons Tower Defense Battles. And that's all I'll mention of it. The game is not important. But I went into my closet, and recorded the cringiest, weirdest, trashiest video ever. It was bad, my voice was unsure and... It was just awkward to watch.

Lemme just say one thing - recording videos is weird. You're talking to no one, and it's just awkward. And I didn't want my family to know I was doing this - so I had to do it in private, which means I had to cut the video every time a family member came near my designated recording space. (the basement)

Three days passed. No views. No comments. Nothing. And one day, someone liked one of my videos. And I went nuts. Because someone, somewhere, came across my videos.

Well, they likely saw a comment from me. For this YouTube channel, I made up some rules. No asking people to Subscribe, check out my channel, or anything. No liking my own videos, as I did with my AJ channel. I would earn every last like and view. But I would comment on random videos to get out my name. And then suddenly... I got a comment. And a Subscriber.

It took four days. I could've gotten another account and Subscribed, but I wanted to earn it. I didn't even want to tell any of my family or friends, it was kind of embarassing. My YouTube channel was a mess - my videos were just me saying what happens in the game. Awkwardddddd...

So I had one Subscriber. Not a big deal in reality, but it was a big deal to me. It was a step. I earned that Sub. I didn't ask for it or anything. And so I kept posting, and suddenly, I hit 14 subscribers like a week later. Wow.

My AJ channel had 40 subs. I considered switching to that channel. But no - I left it and continued with this channel. And after ONE MONTH EXACTLY, we hit 50 subscribers. (No longer gonna capitalize subscribers lol)

Now - I said this before I quit my blog. I do not make content for the subscribers/views. And I still don't. But by this point, I got around 6-7 comments per day. It was almost like my blog, where I would see the same people every day, and I really bonded with them. I really enjoyed it. I was getting around 50 views per day, which theoretically is less than my blog - but half of the blog views were my own.

Then... February 16th. It had been almost 2 months, and my channel hit 100 subscribers. I was getting 20 comments per day. I responded to every comment, read every comment, and I tried to connect with everyone I could. It was enjoyable, people give very nice comments... And while my channel wasn't going crazy, I was happy to make it to this goal. I even got a bit of fan art from my viewers. Not that you guys should've made fan art (YOU GUYS ACTUALLY DID LOL) but it was fun.

Then... February 20th came, and YouTube gave me the best birthday present I could ever ask for.

I had been getting 100 views per day, something that I was extremely excited about. People were watching my videos, people were commenting - and best of all, people were ENJOYING THEM. I meant something. I know I did with this blog... Lol. But anyway, YouTube did something special, they started recommending my videos.

I woke up to 500 views on my newest two videos... After less than two months, my top video was at 250 views, and now I had two over 500. And suddenly, I started to grow. I hit 200 subscribers a few days after that... That top video hit 1k views that day. I got 30 subscribers. I had never gotten more than seven subs in one day by that point. And the next week was hectic...

I got 40 the next day. 60. 80. 120. I got 150 subs in one day before it started to slow down... I went from one sub a day to three subs an hour... And the comments started pouring in. And I got a lot.

We hit 400 subs about a week after that. And two weeks later, we had slowed down. We were at 700. We still were getting attention, but not as much of an increase. But my videos started getting 2,000 views a day. I meant something to a lot of people.

I kept going along, and we slowed down a little bit, but we were still going. And on March 7th, 2019, we hit 1,000 subscribers.

Can I just say - I made this YouTube channel to kind of just... Mess around? I don't know, it randomly just went somewhere out of no where. And that where I am right now. I can make community posts. I live stream. I am making money. (Not that much - lol, but I put ads for free money as people don't seem to mind a quick one at the start - I can call this a job lol)

Here is my channel. The name was made after I typed random letters and randomly decided on this name. This YouTube channel is no where near my blog. But it is my voice, my personality, and I'm having a good time with it.

My life's been stressful here and there in those months - but I'm doing alright. And I'm happy. And I might not respond to you if you comment on this blog. But if you comment on that channel, that's where I am for now.

I don't know why, I almost want to quit that channel. I'm spending too much time on it - Idk.

MAN. I MISS BLOGGING. Wow. Imma shut up now. Lol.
